DeKalb Family Fun Day Postponed
The event has been rescheduled from Aug. 11 due to weather concerns.
The Annual DeKalb Family Fun Day will be held on Sunday, Aug. 25, from 2 p.m. -7 p.m., at Bransby Outdoor YMCA at Rock Chapel, 1185 Rock Chapel Road in Lithonia. This event is free and open to the public and has been rescheduled from Aug. 11 due to weather concerns.
The purpose is for families to have a good time, while collecting school supplies for local students to help support them in the upcoming school year. “This is a golden opportunity for families to have some summer fun, and get the kids excited and ready for back-to-school at the same time,” said Interim DeKalb CEO Lee May.
Activities will include face painting, horseback riding, rock climbing, swimming, paddle boating on the lake, health and wellness screenings, vendors and more.
