Domestic Dispute Leads To Stone Mountain SWAT Standoff

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA — A domestic dispute at an Allgood Road home prompted a SWAT standoff Monday afternoon, DeKalb County Police said.

Police said officers responded around 1 p.m. after being notified that a man would not let a person leave the home. The officers tried to get the man to let the person go, however, police said the man refused to do so.

With a chance the man was armed, DeKalb Police's SWAT team responded to the scene, police said. The man released the person but stayed inside of the home.

The man was accused of entering and exiting the home before SWAT went into the home and took the suspect into custody without incident, police said. No one was injured in the incident.
