The event include a guided nature walk, a tree planting in honor of Salem Missionary Baptist Church, a flag ceremony led by local Girl Scouts and demonstrations by the Atlanta Woodcarvers Club.
There will also be kids stuff such as a bean bag toss, a relay race and a pine cone "Picasso" art project. Light refreshments and face painting will be available along with a human-sized bird's nest for the kids to play around in.
