"Cinderella"

This is not your average Cinderella. Wendy puts her own spin on the beloved tale with puppets, costumes, props and plenty of audience participation. It's a tale of transformations-pumpkins into coaches, mice into horses, shabby rags into a glistening ball gown and talented singer/actress Wendy into Cinderella. Games like "Show Me on Your Face" and "High/Low Voices" encourage students to exercise their imaginations. They will also cue parts of the story and play multiple roles in this make-believe fantasy.

July 21 - Wendy Bennett -

"Once Upon a Tune"

Mix a little Dr. Seuss with some Brothers Grimm and a dollop of Maurice Sendak and what do you get? A delicious musical treat guaranteed to whet the appetites of young readers.  Drawing from such classics as Green Eggs and Ham, Little Red Riding Hood and Oh, the Thinks You Can Think, Wendy creates delightful vocal vignettes with style and charm. She shows students how to use the tools of the actor's trade-voice, gestures and facial expressions-to "sell" a song and gets students to help her create a rainstorm, show her puppet pal Johnny how to sing his one note and sing a book together.
