Commissioner Stan Watson to Host Monthly Legislative Breakfast DeKalb County Residents

Stan Watson, Super District 7 Commissioner will host the monthly Stan Watson Legislative Breakfast on Saturday, April 2, 2011. We anticipate 75 to 100 attendees. The Legislative Breakfast is from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Chapel Hill Middle School. The address is 3535 Dogwood Farms Road, Decatur, Georgia 30034. There is no cost to attend. April is Autism Awareness Month and in support of the many citizens who are impacted with this, Commissioner          Watson is pleased to have Autism Speaks as a guest. Additional guests will share essential information to avoid contributing to sewer spills by properly disposing of fats, oils and grease, updates from the DeKalb County School Board, and information about a proposed amendment seeking to address the growing concern regarding the concentration of group dwellings in single family neighborhoods in order that the quality and character of our single family areas are sustained.

“Providing an opportunity for citizens to either talk to or hear from those who they elected, about issues that affect them is important to me and my constituents”, says Commissioner Watson.“It is our
mission to identify ways to proactively verses reactively stabilize and improve the lives for those who call DeKalb County home”. 

About the Legislative Breakfast: Since 1997, Commissioner Stan Watson has utilized this platform to connect elected and appointed officials, public safety representatives, DeKalb County services and resources and the community together. His purpose is to educate, inform, and inspire community-wide opportunities to work together.
