Fatal Stone Mountain Shooting Suspect Taken Into Custody

A person died in the June 20 shooting at a Redan Road gas station, police said.

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA — A 26-year-old man was taken into custody Tuesday in connection with the June 20 fatal gas station shooting at Redan Road, DeKalb County Police said late Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of Redan. Police said someone was located in the front seat of a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The unidentified person later died at a local hospital. Nathan Weeks, 26, was identified by police as the shooting suspect and was taken into custody Tuesday. Patch is working to learn of the specific charges against Weeks.
