Foodstock 2014 to Package Meals for Hungry
One of the Atlanta metro's biggest efforts to fight hunger will happen this Saturday when volunteers packages thousands of meals.

The Dunwoody United Methodist Church is hosting Foodstock 2014 on Saturday, Aug. 16, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
More than 1,200 volunteers will assemble 300,000 dehydrated meals for children in need worldwide. The goal is to match or surpass the largest effort of its kind in metro Atlanta for Stop Hunger Now, the 301,320 meals packaged during FoodStock 2013.
The meals are made of rice, soybeans, vegetables and 21 essential vitamins. Stop Hunger Now primarily targets children through school lunch programs but will also expand to the community it is serving based on need.
