Happy National Pet Day! Meet Our LifeLine Animal Project DeKalb County Pets of the Week

Today is National Pet Day. Why not celebrate by adopting a pet?

Saturday, April 11 is National Pet Day, a holiday founded in to “celebrate the joy pets bring to our lives and to create public awareness about the plight of many different kinds of animals awaiting a forever home in shelters and rescues all across the nation.”

Please join LifeLine Animal Project in celebrating National Pet Day at DeKalb County Animal Services (DCAS) by adopting a pet, volunteering or donating something on the shelter’s Amazon wish list. And don’t forget, all pets weighing 25 lbs. or more may be adopted for NO CHARGE during April as part of our Spring into Adoption promotion, including their spay/neuter, vaccines and microchip! So hurry in, and adopt some love today!

Pets of the Week: Riddick and Amy

One adorable boy you can adopt from DCAS for FREE is Riddick, a sweet boy who is a big lover! This two-year-old guy loves to give kisses and be close to humans. He also loves treats and is a great listener, so training Riddick will be a breeze! Riddick is so happy when he is around people, that he wags his whole rear with joy. Please come and meet him at the DeKalb Shelter today.

Our next pet who also qualifies for the Spring into Adoption FREE promotion is Aimee, a pretty girl with adorable, large ears. Aimee is a cuddly, sweet girl who loves playing with toys and carrying them around with her. Aimee also enjoys belly rubs, pleasing people and playing with other dogs. This love bug has been at the shelter too long and can’t understand why no one is taking her home (we can’t either!). Please come in and meet her, and be ready to fall in love!
