DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A DeKalb County man was sentenced to life in prison after a jury found him guilty in the sexual assault of a 13-year-old family member, according to a news release.

DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston announced last week the conviction of 56-year-old Eddie Dubose of Lithonia. He was charged with aggravated sexual battery and child molestation.

The charges against Dubose date back to August 2016, according to the release, when the female victim, then 13-years-old, was staying with her mother at Dubose’s home in Lithonia for a family reunion, according to the release. He is accused of assaulting the girl while others in the home were asleep.
