Lou Walker Center Seniors Capture 2nd and 3rd Place

Lithonia, Georgia: (Oct. 17, 2017) – The Lou Walker Senior Center’s Advanced Digital SLR Class finished as 2nd and 3rd place winners in the Senior category of the ACP My Atlanta City-wide Competition. James Hobby and Cleveland Whitehead, Jr. respectively won 2nd, and 3rd places for their entries.

The My Atlanta Exhibit is part of a month-long celebration of photographic art across the Atlanta Metroplex. The exhibit opened Saturday, September 30, 2017 and runs through Thursday, October 26, 2017. Open to the public, the exhibit is on display at Binders Art Supplies at Ponce City Market, located at 650 North Avenue, Atlanta GA 30308, viewing hours are as follows:

Sunday, October 1 – Thursday, October 26, 2017

Monday to Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

The Lou Walker Senior Center competes annually in this competition. Under the direction of instructor, Bob GlickSmith the group has achieved notable success, winning on multiple occasions since 2011. This year’s exhibit features two award winners from Lou Walker: James Hobby and Cleveland Whitehead, Jr. who won respectively 1st, and 2nd places for their entries.
