The 2016 Seniors and Baby Boomers Expo event was a resounding success!
The fun got started early this past Saturday morning at Stonecrest Mall in Lithonia when CrossRoads Newspaper kicked-off their Annual Senior & Baby Boomer Expo. The program was organized to celebrate active seniors in the community and to provide information and resources for Medicare Enrollment as well as focus attention on issues important to senior citizens and the Baby Boomer generation.
Lou Walker Senior Center was there to support the event and many of the members showed off their talent on the stage. Tyrone Bailey, LWSC Fitness Director, opened the event by warming up the audience with a few gentle exercises they could do in their seats before introducing his students who showed off their skills on stage. LWSC’s oldest Tai Chi instructor, Adelina San Juan is 91 years young , and she was also on hand still kicking high in class. Other talented members of LWSC showed off their talents with a fashion show and a dance recital.
