Magic Johnson's Online School Hosting Info Session in Lithonia

Prospective students and parents are encouraged to attend to ask questions, meet staff and register.

A new online school affiliated with Earvin “Magic” Johnson is coming to Georgia. Provost Academy Georgia (PAGA) will be talking to parents on Sept. 16 at Stonecrest Library in Lithonia, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Provost Academy is educating the public about its unique, tuition-free programs that provide high school students with customized learning.

PAGA is a statewide, single-school district that serves students in grades 9 through 12. Like students in traditional high schools, Provost students work toward their diploma, but because classes are online, they have the flexibility to log on and learn at their own pace from the comfort and safety of their homes.

"We have removed the walls, the clocks, and the barriers for access to quality public education," said Dr. Monica Henson, Superintendent and Chief Executive Officer of PAGA. "Our program is working and our kids are excelling academically. This is the future of education."
