Murder Suspect Accused Of Shooting At DeKalb Deputies Arrested
Police said Nicholas Demetrius Earl was taken into police custody Tuesday morning.

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA — A suspect accused of murder and of shooting at DeKalb County deputies recently has been arrested, DeKalb County Police said Tuesday.
Police said Nicholas Demetrius Earl was accused of shooting at the deputies around 3 p.m. Friday while they were searching for him in the area of Juliette Road.

He saw their vehicles and shot rounds at them before fleeing into a nearby wood line. Police said Earl was not found, and a deputy was taken to the hospital in stable condition and with minor injuuries.
Earl was arrested Tuesday by the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office in Douglasville. He was taken into police custody without incident and is being held in the DeKalb County Jail on suspicion of murder and aggravated assault, police said.
