STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga-Her fine art cards began with the 1991 hit, "The Tomahawk Christmas Card," a holiday tribute to the Atlanta Braves "last to first" baseball season. "I sold every one," says Olivia Thomason, named artist of the year by Creative Loafing and as a prominent gallery owner in Decatur, her Primitive Eye Gallery on Ponce de Leon garnered similar awards for multiple years.
Drive through the Historic Village of Stone Mountain beside the gazebo and you see her mural looking down from the pavilion. Visitors enter Stone Mountain Park on West Mountain Street and are greeted with Ms. Thomason's painting of the city.
What inspired her to paint Noah's Ark? Everyone loves the story about Noah," she replies. "I have painted other interpretations of the Biblical hero and several clients encouraged me to produce a fine art note card."

If history is any indicator of success, Olivia Thomason's 2016 Noah's Ark" should be a sales success. "It's totally local, pure Georgia and yes, it's made in America."
And, a lovely card it is. When folded, the fine art card printed on expensive stock fits snugly in a matching envelope. The artist added that many who received her cards over the years framed them for display on walls or tables.
