Sauce III as Superintendent Finalist (ocgnews.com) — Stone Mountain families should know the DeKalb school board will vote Sept. 14 on naming Interim Superintendent Dr. Norman C. Sauce III as the official finalist to lead the district. State law requires his name be public for 14 days before a final vote, expected Oct. 5, giving local parents and staff time to weigh in on the future of DeKalb schools.
   

• Delta Sigma Theta's Gail Bean to lead FX's 'The Drop' (clutchpoints.com) — A new FX spinoff, The Drop: A Snowfall Saga, will be led by actress Gail Bean, who proudly traces her journey back to growing up in Stone Mountain. She reflects on how her hometown, college years, and persistence shaped her rise from supporting roles in Snowfall and P-Valley to leading a major series while spotlighting Black women's experiences in the 1990s.
