A Stone Mountain Christmas

The Big Rock Holiday Parade Down Main Street

The painting by Stone Mountain's award-winning artist Olivia Thomason was first unveiled in 2013 as a tribute to the Christmas parade held annually in the Historic Village. Then, by popular demand, it was transformed into a Christmas card that sold out almost immediately.

Olivia's style was described by Dr. Joe Perrin, the late Dean of Georgia Stet University's College of Art as "Southern revivalist," which in lay terms means a modern Southern artists still true to cultural and heritage roots.

Enjoy the pageantry, the decorated tree atop our mountain, the joy made possible by brilliant colors and the scenes of children and adults laughing and singing.
