Stone Mountain City Council Meeting Notes

The council met Tuesday, May 1.

The Stone Mountain city council met Tuesday night, May 1, to vote on the following items:

1. Main Street Stone Mountain Inc.-Second Amendment to the contract for services with the city of Stone Mountain. Action: approved.

2. Proposal for storm repair, 691 Sheppard Rd., DAZ Construction, $16,130. Action: approved.

3. Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement. Action: approved. The agreement will allow the city to call on other governments -- city or county -- for help and vice versa in the event of a disaster or emergency, and be reimbursed by FEMA or GEMA, explained city manager Barry Amos.

4. Resolution 2012-06-Reallocation of $26,374.25 from Downtown Development Authority. Action: approved. This amount is 7/12 of the salary going toward the Main Street director job, which is still vacant.
