Man Dies, 4 Safe In Stone Mountain SWAT Incident
Police accused the man of shooting multiple times inside of the home after a dispute with a landlord and roommates.
STONE MOUNTAIN — A person is dead, but four people are safe, after a SWAT incident Thursday at a Bridgewater Branch home, DeKalb County Police said.
Officers responded around 9 a.m. to Bridgewater after receiving reports that a person had discharged a gun.
Police accused a man of shooting multiple times inside of the home after a dispute with a landlord and roommates. The man was accused of then barricading himself inside of the home and threatening to shooting anyone who tried to leave.

The SWAT team responded to the scene and was able to safely help four people leave the home, police said.
SWAT then found the man unresponsive from an unknown cause, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police are investigating to determine the cause of death. The name of the man was not released.
