Three Shot, One Killed Following Lithonia Argument

A 23-year-old man was killed and two other people in his vehicle were wounded in a shooting in an early Friday shooting near Lithonia, DeKalb County Police said.

A 23-year-old man was killed and two other people in his vehicle were wounded in a shooting in an early Friday shooting near Lithonia, DeKalb County Police said.

Lt. Mark Lavigne told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution the victims, who were in a black Dodge Neon, “pulled off to a side street, where they were approached by an individual and gunshots erupted from that individual.”

The shooting happened on a side street off South Deshon Road, says FOXAtlanta. The three victims were flagged down by an unknown suspect who argued with the occupants of the vehicle and began firing shots at them.

A 21-year-old woman in the Neon was shot, but was able to drove herself and the two men to DeKalb Medical for help. 

The 23-year-old man later died at Grady Memorial Hospital. The 27-year-old man is listed in critical condition. Police say the woman's wounds are non-life threatening.
