When: Saturday, July 14, 8-10:30 p.m. Movie begins at sundown.

Where: Baptist Church lawn, Stone Mountain Village (middle of town)

Why go: A free good time with the family.

Bubble Fun

When: Saturday, July 14, 10-11 a.m.

Where: Hairston Crossing Library, 4911 Redan Rd.

Why go: Bubbles and kids go together.

Frog Slog

When: Saturday, July 14, 5:30 p.m.

Where: Panola Mountain State Park, 2600 Highway 155, SW, Stockbridge

Who go: Search wetlands and streams (and get muddy!) as you identify frogs by their calls. Note: Register in advance for this program which is $5 plus $5 for parking. Phone number: 770-389-7801. The Georgia State Parks web site says to bring a flashlight and headlamp, nets, seines and buckets. Participants will meet at the Nature Center.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover & Pickup

When: Sleepover - Friday, July 13, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Pickup - Saturday, July 14, 10 a.m.- 12 p.m.

Where: Stonecrest Library, 3123 Klondike Rd., Lithonia.

Why go: How cute is this: Children ages 3-8 bring their stuffed animals to Stonecrest Library on Friday, July 13, anytime betwen 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., for a sleepover. Then on Saturday, July 14, the stuffed animals are picked up and everyone has breakfast.
