Woman Found Dead In Burning Lithonia Home; 3 Children Safe
The other four residents of the home were able to escape the fire.
LITHONIA, GA — A woman was found dead early Wednesday after a fire in the garage of a Huntington Place Circle home, DeKalb County fire officials said.
Firefighters saw smoke coming from the closed garage. Residents told firefighters there were still inside the home.
The woman was found burned to death in the garage around 1 a.m., fire officials said. Police did not immediately say whether foul play was suspected.

Fire officials said the fire was contained to the garage.
A total of five people lived in the home, two adults who were brother and sister, and three children, fire officials said. All but the woman were able to escape the fire, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
