• Reported spill in creek near Lyerly St (allongeorgia.com) — A sewer line backup at a trucking facility on the former Georgia Rug Mill site caused a cooking-based oil spill into a creek near Lyerly Street in Summerville. City crews quickly vacuumed visible material, disposed of it at the wastewater plant, and collected water samples for state lab analysis and reporting, with no ongoing monitoring currently expected.
