Bank of America Supporting Tucker Businesses

The bank is in hiring mode to service small business owners.

The Bank of America announced this week it has hired more than 45 new bankers across Georgia who will focus on the needs of small business owners, according to the chain's website.

Two of the new hires, Demetra Abraham and Raymond Grote III, have been assigned specifically to clients in Tucker.

β€œSmall businesses are the life blood of Tucker’s economy, and we’re proud to be able to help and support this diverse community of businesses,” John Maurelus, Small Business Banker Manager, told Tucker Patch in an email. β€œDemetra Abraham and Raymond Grote III are two small business bankers on my team who work with small business ownersΒ locally in the Tucker area."

A press release from Bank of America said the company "will be providing more personalized attention to small business owners, including consulting with them at their places of business." The goal is to help business owners expand and grow, and to assess the companies’ deposit, credit and cash management needs, it stated.

The website lists several recent initiatives designed for smaller companies, such as charge cards that give businesses more choice and control over their payment and expense management needs. Additionally, the site notes, " has made recent improvements to the bank's two million small business credit card accounts, such as no penalty rate increases on existing balances."

Maurelus concluded, "we build relationships with local small business owners, consult and provide personalized, tailored financial guidance that will enable their business to grow, thrive and succeed.”
