The New Main Street

Have you driven down Main Street lately? Do you ever want to drive down Main Street again?

I can truthfully say that I am very disappointed in the new main street in Tucker. The loss of lanes for traffic and the curbings that stick out too far making turns tricky has left me unimpressed.

I now make it a point to avoid Main Street. Instead of this re-design making me want to patronize businesses there, I drive around it or cross over it. I know I don't want to try to park there and back out into a single lane while avoiding those curbs that are just the right height to damage my car.

I consider this project to have been a waste of my tax dollars. I know a lot of people spoke out against this design but were overruled by a few. Maybe it's time to change the system so that a few people don't get to speak for us all.
