Tucker Day Balloon Travels 150 Miles

Tucker Day was filled with decorative balloons, but one made its way to another state! This unexpected but very welcome visitor traveled its way from Tucker, GA on Saturday all the way to Cleveland, SC by Saturday night.

The Mountain West Church booths were home to more than 100 balloons, several of which were accidentally released by high school student, Tyler Sparks during set up. Many jokes were made as to where the balloons would end up, but no one in the group imagined another state!

Monday morning, the church secretary opened her email to discover a note from a family in South Carolina who had found the balloon. They had seen the web address printed on the balloon and looked it up to see what the business was.  They were shocked to discover the distance and shot a quick email to the church to let them know it had been found.

It had traveled approximately 150 miles that day.
