The cost of fuel is still going up in Tucker. On a positive note, residents should be happy to know we have the cheaper of the expensive fuel in the state of Georgia. The cost of gas is about 10 cents up from last week.
What is causing the rise of fuel? The government has released the fuel reserves. One would think since we are dipping in the reserves, this would mean relief at the pump. This is not the case. According to AP, Because we used 60 million barrels of oil, it created a rebound which in turn caused the market expectations for the global supply to tighten. As a result, demand will increase over the next 18 months.

As for who is on top for having the “cheapest gas” in Tucker, Sam’s Club has returned to the throne only by default. CITGO on Mountain Industrial Boulevard has the cheapest regular gas but unfortunately they are out of it! This week Sam’s Club regular gas is $3.63, which is eight cents less than last week. Everywhere else in Tucker is averaging at $3.75. Remember, prices are subject to change through out the day.
Gas Saving Tip: Regular tune-ups ensure best economy; check the owner's manual for recommended maintenance intervals. Special attention should be given to maintaining clean air filters... diminished airflow increases fuel waste.
