Drag Racing Causes Accident on Chamblee-Tucker Road
Woman injured Sunday after her car flips over.
Two Tucker High School studentsΒ drag racing on Chamblee Tucker Road hit a car driven by 20-year-old woman, injuring her and overturning her car, according to witnesses.
The accident happened at 11 p.m. last night at the intersection with North Park Road. The names of the three drivers have not yet been released, nor has the condition of the woman, who was taken to hospital in an ambulance. The drag racers were ticketed by police.
"This was very close to being a fatality and the young lady was very blessed," said Jennifer McKillop, in whose front yard the woman's car landed. "Two of the three cars involved were totaled."

McKillop is active in a neighborhood effort to curtail speeders and said that there have been numerous accidents in the area. She announced there will be a Public Safety Meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at Panera Bread in Northlake near Office Depot. "We have requested many of the concerned citizens to attend so that their voices might be heard," McKillop said.Β Β
