Feb. 6 Deadline to Register for Georgia Presidential Primary

Feb. 6 is the deadline to register to vote in the Georgia Presidential Primary. The Primary is March 6, 2012.

You can also register to vote online through the Georgia Secretary of State office. 

Here are sample ballots for Democrats and Republicans within the city of Atlanta. Residents also will vote on reimposing a Special One Percent Sales and Use Tax Referendum to fund water and sewer projects in the city.

To register to vote you must:

• Be a citizen of the United States
• Be a legal resident of the county
• Be at least 171/2 years of age to register and 18 years of age to vote
• Not be serving a sentence for conviction of a felony involving moral turpitude
• Have not been found mentally incompetent by a judge
