Green Market Welcomes DeKalb Medical Center

DeKalb Medical Center (DMC) joins us in partnership with the Old Town Tucker Merchants' Association and the Green Market on Main. 

This week they will be passing out reusable bags with recipes particularly highlighting eggplant.

We welcome DMC and look forward to having them join us in Tucker!

'Eggplants are known by a variety of manes, such as patlican, melongene and garden apples, and they can be used in dishes in place of portabella mushrooms, zucchini, and okra. 

All varieties of eggplant are filling, yet low in calories and provide high dietary fiber making them a great diet addition.’ 

Six different kinds of eggplant this week: Black Beauty, Fairy Tale, Calliope, Japanese, Thai Kermit and Rosa Bianca.
