HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION RE: HELPING *ONE* PERSON

Supposed you came across a single, professional woman who lives in a 100-year old home where she earns her living working from home in her profession. Suppose you discovered her ROOF was so terribly worn and leaking, that the county was threatening to 'demolish' the house unless the roof was brought up to code. She has already filed bankruptcy (4 yrs ago) due to declining income with the recession but continues to work and earn as much as possible. No savings, no local family and (although not "on disability") she has health issues in addition to having a leaky and potentially unsafe house.
I have never met this woman; we have talked at length via phone and email.
I hope to meet her in person but I believe she has valid, frightening issues and may actually LOSE her house and have nowhere to live if this problem is not addressed.
I have explored some resources online for her to call; I have written to a large local Foundation asking if they assist individuals, and after putting this note OUT THERE, I will just pray for her and hope miracles happen. This lady (60-ish?) has worked all her life and her house is all she has. What would YOU do to help her? Or to help me help her? What the heck do people DO? (She lives in Stn Mtn).   Thanks ya'll...
