National Night Out 2012 Is Tuesday

The 27th annual National Night Out takes place Tuesday, Aug. 7 in many DeKalb neighborhoods, including several in the Tucker/Stone Mountain area.

It's sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and co-sponsored locally by DeKalb County Police Crime Awareness Units and Interactive Community Policing Units.

The event involves over 11,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world. In all, over 35 million people are expected to participate in "America's Night Out Against Crime."
