Neighborhood on Alert as Prowler Targets Women
Residents warned against opening their front doors to strangers and to call 911.

Women living alone in the Glynbrook subdivision of Tucker are being targeted by a prowler who knocks on doors asking for money, according to Neighborhood Watch coordinatorΒ Barbara Paulk.Β
"This guy has obviously been casing all the area and picked the houses without lights on in the front and females only living there," Paulk saidΒ in an email.Β She added that in one instance, the man allegedly stole a neighbor's dog after being told he couldn't have any money.Β
A description of the suspect has not yet been released by police, but Paulk said he drives an old car and uses the same story each time, becoming belligerent when denied. She described an incident that took place Friday around 11 p.m. in which the suspect approached the home of a woman on Long Pines Court.Β "He told her he lived in Glynbrook and needed money to get to the hospital as his father had had a heart attack.Β She told him she did not have any money and closed the door. He left, yelling and cursing at her." Β

An elderly resident onΒ GlynbrookΒ Drive was also targeted by the suspect early on Saturday morning. She opened her door to him and did not call 911, according to Paulk, who added, "he left when she told him she did not have any money but, allegedly,Β he went to the side yard and stole her dog."Β
