New Lilburn Theater Holds Auditions

Child and adult actors, singers and dancers are sought for 2011-12 performances.

The new Lilburn Cultural Arts Center is looking for performers for its scheduled shows during the 2011-2012 season.

The community theater, located at 4230 Lawrenceville Highway, is holding auditions beginning at 4 p.m. today, June 25 to find child and adult actors, singers and dancers.

Shows scheduled this season include β€œThe Odd Couple,” β€œAida,” β€œAlice in Wonderland, Jr.,” β€œAnnie,” β€œThe Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” and β€œHigh School Musical.”

The new theater, which opened last month in the Lilburn Crossing shopping center, is owned by the Melanie Thornton Youth Arts Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to empower youth through the arts.
