• More mosquitos test positive for West Nile in DeKalb County (decaturish.com) — Mosquito traps in Tucker have tested positive for West Nile virus, prompting DeKalb Public Health to urge residents to eliminate standing water and use EPA-approved repellents. While no human cases are confirmed in the county, officials warn that statewide infections and one death have occurred and advise extra precautions, especially for older adults and those with health conditions.
   

• Longtime Tucker Summit CID president Morsberger resigning (decaturish.com) — Leadership at the Tucker Summit Community Improvement District is changing, as longtime president Emory Morsberger will step down when his contract ends Dec. 31. His 15-year tenure oversaw major street maintenance, landscaping, signage upgrades, and planned improvements to Mountain Industrial Boulevard and the U.S. 78 interchange that will continue after his departure.
   

• Week five delivers high-scoring wins (thechampionnewspaper.com) — Tucker football fans can celebrate a dominant 46-7 road win over Central Gwinnett that keeps the Tigers undefeated at 4-0 heading into a Sept. 25 matchup with Druid Hills at Adams Stadium. The roundup also highlights other strong DeKalb County performances, but Tucker's high-powered offense and perfect record stand out for local supporters.
