Police Investigating Infant Death at Tucker Apartment

WSB-TV is reporting that a three-month-old infant was found dead at a residence in Tucker this afternoon.

The station said police responded to a 911 call about an infant in distress and went to an apartment on Idlewood Road. Officers found the child dead when they arrived, though the husband of the child's mother had said the baby was sleeping.

There were no signs of violence on the baby's body, police said. Names have not been released so far and the investigation is continuing.

Two public information officers for the Dekalb County Police Department did not answer emails or return telephone calls Saturday evening.
