Prayer Shawl Knit/Crochet Workshop

Learn to knit / crochet and give comfort to others.

• The public is invited to come and hone their skills or teach a beginner.
• Please bring a sack lunch and drink.

What makes a shawl a Prayer Shawl? The shawl maker begins with prayers and blessings for the recipient as he or she knits or crochets a simple shawl. The intentions continue throughout the shawl's creation.  At its completion, the Prayer Shaw receives a final blessing. 

Our church has a Prayer Shawl Ministry, volunteers who create prayer shawls that are given to share the care and comfort of God with those in need.  Volunteers knit Prayer Shawls on a continuing basis and give them freely when they can be special blessing to others.
