Shallowford Presbyterian Names Associate Pastor for Mission and Discipleship

Shallowford Presbyterian Church (SPC) recently named Rev. Catherine Foster as the Associate Pastor for Mission and Discipleship, a new position for the growing church located in central DeKalb County.

Rev. Foster’s responsibilities include: overseeing and expanding SPC’s long-standing and deep commitment to community and international mission and the congregation’s desire to deepen faith and connection to God and one another through the varied ministries of Christian education. She will also provide worship leadership, pastoral care, and work closely with Rev. Christopher Henry, the Senior Pastor. Shallowford Presbyterian Church added the new position to help accommodate a 20 per cent growth in membership in the last three years.

“We are thrilled to welcome Catherine to the Shallowford staff and congregation,” Henry said. “Her gifts for ministry and her passion for mission make her an ideal fit for this position, and her sense of call to this position is a testament to the growth and vitality of our congregation.”
