Tail End of Summer Event Aims to Spur Pet Adoptions

Fantastic ‘Tail End of Summer’ Promotion at DeKalb County Animal Services and Meet Our Pets of the Week!

The number of animals coming into DeKalb County Animal Services has reached its highest, and the shelter is full. To encourage the community to adopt pets and save lives, the shelter is offering a ‘Tail End of Summer’ promotion. Throughout the month of August, all dogs and puppies may be adopted for only $20, and all cats and kittens may be adopted for only $10! Adoption counselors will be on hand to ensure the animals are being placed in good homes.

Adopters will receive a dog or cat that has been spayed or neutered, has had all vaccines and is microchipped – a $200 value. To view animals available for adoption, or for the shelter’s address and phone number, please visit the shelter or visitwww.dekalbanimalservices.com/adopt.

DCAS Pets of the Week: Webber and Scout

I dare you to look at the picture of Webber and tell me he’s not cute. You can’t do it can you? Webber is an adorable, little two-year-old boy who worships people and loves to be around them all the time. This handsome boy is black with a white muzzle, white chest and white paws. He is a little frightened by all the loud noises of the shelter, but relaxes when he’s taken outside or into an office. Will you come adopt him and take him out of the noisy shelter and into your loving home? His adoption fee is only $20 during our August ‘Tail End of Summer’ promotion!

Scout is a pretty senior girl with very soft tan fur. If you’re looking for a calm and gentle dog, Scout is perfect for you! She loves to be around people, relax and take walks. In fact, when she sees a leash, Scout gets super excited and a big smile comes across her face. Scout is good with kids and other dogs, and her adoption fee is only $20 during our August ‘Tail End of Summer’ promotion!
