Tucker Company Gets Attention for Customized iPhones
Local innovator, 'rebellious tinkerer' tells the New York Times about his creations.

After posting a picture of his device on Facebook, things started happening.

βEveryone wanted one,β Turner told the Times. βSo we decided it was something we could make and sell to the public.β The company he co-founded, Material6, is now selling $89 kits that let buyers pick from a dozen different hand-carved wooden backs. Turner is getting orders for around 10 kits a day, and is planning to expand the line.
