Baseball Tournament Scoring for Breast Cancer Research

Baseball Tournament Scoring for Breast Cancer Research

Devastatingly, in the United States every three minutes a
woman is diagnosed with breast cancer and every thirteen minutes a woman loses
her life to breast cancer. This dreaded disease is taking too many lives.
The passion for fundraising for breast cancer hit home when a sibling was
diagnosed at the age of 33, for a local couple, of Mableton, Christopher and
Angela Tillison.  Any age is too young to be diagnosed with cancer!
“Too many friends, family and loved ones are losing their lives while fighting
cancer.  As a result, a strong desire to help evolved; with this
aspiration Strike Out Breast Cancer, "SOBC" was formed, a youth
baseball tournament,” say’s tournament director, Angela Tillison.
Georgia youth baseball teams from surrounding communities ban together for a
cause while competing for the title of SOBC champion.

“The event is striking success”, says, Tillison, as the
third annual event will be held June 14, 15 and 16th at Clarkdale
Park, Austell, GA.  The tournament is hitting home for many, local
businesses and citizens are getting involved.   The SOBC donates 100%
of the profits to cancer research programs, locally and nationally.  Since
its inception, the tournament is ran strictly on volunteers. If you would like
to find out how you can become a part of this great event you can find more
