Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers Launches New ‘Veterans To Rep’ Program

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers launched a new “Veterans to Real Estate Professionals (REP)” program at the beginning of February to assist veterans with starting a new career as a real estate agent. This new program offers special incentives – scholarships and exclusive training – to help veterans transition from military to civilian life and begin the next phase in their life.

The BHGRE Metro Brokers “Veterans to REP” program is open to all branches of the military including the National Guard, Reserve and Veterans. The program provides recruits with a full scholarship that covers the cost of Real Estate School and the first 6 months of real estate expenses with BGHRE Metro Brokers, an investment of more than $3,000 in each recruit!

“Veterans are hardworking, disciplined and persistent men and women who have the skillset to find a successful career in real estate,” said Kevin Levent, President and CEO of BHGRE Metro Brokers. “We want to assist them with the transition utilizing the unique training, technology and marketing benefits only available at BHGRE Metro Brokers. This program also gives back to people that we believe have sacrificed a lot for our country. They deserve our ‘thanks’.”

The program has already generated a great amount of interest. In only two weeks, 30 veterans have signed up for the program.

As part of the program, new recruits will be placed on X-celerater, a series of intensive, hands-on mentorship and coaching sessions with brokers. X-celerater also includes marketing advice and implementation, innovative technology and free leads. BHGRE Metro Brokers invests time, money and resources into our Veterans.

Prior to launching the “Veteran to REP” program, BHGRE Metro Brokers invited several active and retired military personnel to a round table discussion regarding the program. The response was incredibly positive.

“The training and support in the Veterans to REP program provides an exceptional opportunity for success,” said Major Calvin S. Posner, President of Georgia Federal/Military Retiree Coalition, Inc. “Officers and senior NCOs will find a home in which their organizational and leadership skills and experience will be welcomed.”

“Veterans to REP is a great program that will enable many Veterans to move forward quickly in their transition from serving their country to serving their community,” said Colonel Dennis Brown, Army, Retired.

John Walsh, a BHGRE Metro Brokers sales associate out of the North Fulton office, is an Army Veteran that has found success in real estate. "In the military, I gained honesty and integrity,” said Walsh. “I learned how to make a commitment and keep to it. I’m self-motivated, driven by internal fortitude and self-confidence. All of these traits apply directly to real estate. I’m here because President and CEO Kevin Levent provided me with a turn-key opportunity to create the career I wanted. You can, too. With the same effort you have demonstrated while you were in service, you can grow your own company, achieve your financial and personal goals, and have a little fun along the way!”

Mark Congdon, BHGRE Metro Brokers sales associates of the Ellijay office and retired Coast Guard, explains “I was appreciative of the non-regulated, independent opportunities afforded me by becoming a Realtor. With BHGRE Metro Brokers, I didn’t have to give up on having a support system to fall back on and I was given all the tools I needed to succeed.”

BHGRE Metro Brokers launched a website at www.VeteransToREP.com, which includes in-depth information on the program as well as a sign-up sheet. In addition, Veterans can join any of the social networking sites the company has set up on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to learn about the program and network with military members who are now real estate professionals in Georgia. Veterans can also contact a member of BHGRE Metro Brokers’ career development department by calling 877.623.8269.
