Should Gov. Deal Take Sides on Integrated Prom?

A nonprofit organization is taking Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal to task for his neutral position on teens in Wilcox County organizing an integrated prom. Tell us what you think, if anything, Deal should do.

Better Georgia, a progressive nonprofit organization, is criticizing Gov. Nathan Deal for "not taking sides" on an effort by four teenage girls to organize its first integrated prom in Wilcox County, Ga.

Gov. Nathan Deal was asked last week whether he'd supported the high school students' efforts, which he declined through a spokesman

"This is a leftist front group for the state Democratic party and we're not going to lend a hand to their silly publicity stunt," spokesman Brian Robinson said.
