11th Annual Senior Extravaganza Returns April 29

The event will provide dozens of vendors and resources catering to Cherokee County's older residents.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- Organizers behind the yearly initiative bring the best resources to Cherokee County's senior citizens are putting the final touches on their flagship event.

The Cherokee Triad S.A.L.T (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together) will host the 11th Annual Senior Extravaganza from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29 at the Cherokee County Recreation Center in Woodstock.

Dale Walz, chair of Cherokee Triad S.A.LT and this year’s event coordinator, said she is thrilled with the overwhelming support shown by local businesses and educational speakers who will participate in Saturday's event.

Anyone who is a senior or has a senior citizen in their family is asked to come out and take advantage of the resources that will be available.

Attendees can expect to see more than 50 vendors, health screenings, a fashion show and several informative seminars for seniors that will be held every hour. The topics will include Navigating the Senior Years with the Correct Legal Documents, The Ins and Outs of Medicare, The Hidden Benefit of VA Aid & Attendance for Veterans and their Spouses, and How to Protect your Identity and Recognize Scam Alerts.
