2-Vehicle Crash Sends Driver To Hospital
The man appeared to have injuries to his lower extremities stemming from the collision, which occurred Tuesday in southeast Cherokee.
WOODSTOCK, GA -- Investigators are working to piece together what caused a commercial truck and a small van to collide early Tuesday evening in southeast Cherokee County.
Crews with Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the two-vehicle crash around 5 p.m. June 28 along S.R. 140 at Arnold Mill Road in unincorporated Woodstock.
The driver of the Chevrolet Astro van, a man who appeared to be in his mid 40's, was entrapped and had to be extricated from the vehicle, the agency said.

That motorist was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta for treatment.
Paramedic Val Hice said it appeared the male had injuries to his lower extremities. The driver of the commercial truck, a 21-year-old male, complained of neck and back pain, and was evaluated by EMS crews on the scene.

The man also had a canine passenger, which appeared to be OK following the collision. The accident remains under investigation.
