2017 Law Enforcement Memorial Service On Wednesday

WOODSTOCK, GA -- The 2017 Law Enforcement Memorial Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17. The event will be held at the Park at City Center in downtown Woodstock.

Event organizers are honoring the 144 American law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty in 2016.

The press release from city officials said, "Please join the Woodstock Police Department in honoring the 144 American law enforcement officers who gave their lives while serving their communities in 2016 during an annual ceremony; which will be held on Wednesday, May 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the Park at City Center in downtown Woodstock."

"It is not how these officers died that made them heroes, it is how they lived."
