HICKORY FLAT, GA -- The Cherokee Sheriff's Office will host a town hall meeting next week to address accidents and motorist safety along a major thoroughfare.

The town hall meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 31 at the agency's Hickory Flat Precinct, which is located at 7625 Vaughn Road in Canton.
The sheriff's office said it's received information "from a number of residents who have voiced concerns" about the stretch of East Cherokee Drive from Hickory Road to Holly Springs Parkway near Woodstock, according to its press release.

Lt. Jeremy Huggins, commander of the precinct, will host the town hall in the facility's community room, to which residents are invited to attend.
Staff members of the Cherokee County Engineering Department will also be on hand to discuss accident history, present and future projects and listen to residents’ concerns.
