Adult, Teens Charged With Entering Auto

Citizens reported seeing three young males running and jumping into a silver passenger vehicle overnight Tuesday near Woodstock.

Woodstock, GA -- Three people have been arrested and charged with entering autos in a Towne Lake neighborhood.

Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office received suspicious activity call overnight Tuesday in the 700 block of Rosedale Road in unincorporated Woodstock.

Rosedale Road sits off Arborhill Drive, and is east of Rose Creek Drive between Towne Lake Parkway and Eagle Drive.

The resident told dispatchers that “several young males were running and jumping into a silver passenger car,” the sheriff’s office said in its press release.

Dispatchers received additional 9-1-1 calls from Feather Creek Lane in the Eagle Watch subdivision reporting similar circumstances.

Deputies patrolling the area came upon a silver passenger vehicle on Eagle Drive at Indian Ridge Trail. That vehicle, the sheriff’s office, said had all four of its doors open and three men who appeared to be switching places in the car or “trying to put something in the vehicle.”

Following an investigation, deputies arrested ad charged Shawn Gardner, 19, Tyler Wells, 17, and Braden Kincaid, 17 each with three counts of entering auto and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Additional charges are forthcoming as more victims are identified, the sheriff’s office added.
