Cherokee Fire Accepting Applications For New Recruits

Applications must be completed online by Wednesday, June 22.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services has opened the application process for new firefighter recruits. 

Applications must be completed online by Wednesday, June 2, and can be done by clicking here.

Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid driver’s license. Applicants must also attend only one of the mandatory fire department orientation seminars. You will not be eligible to continue in the hiring process if you do not attend one of these sessions.

Orientation sessions are scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, June 23 and 7 p.m. Monday, June 27 at the Cherokee Fire Training Complex, which is located at 3985 Holly Springs Parkway in Holly Springs.

All correspondence will be through email, and candidates should receive an orientation notice email from the Human Resources Department of the fire department within 72 hours of your application submittal.

If you do not receive the notice, you should check your spam and/or junk mail folders. If you do not receive the orientation email after within the 72 hour time frame, email firehr@cherokeega.com.
