Cherokee Sheriff's Office Announces Reporting Procedures

Sheriff Roger Garrison announces the procedures each year to ensure maintain integrity and ensure the public's trust in the agency.

Cherokee County Sheriff Roger Garrison is once again announcing the agency's reporting procedures regarding commendations or allegations of misconduct by employees of the agency.

This is done annually to maintain integrity and ensure the public's trust in the sheriff's office, spokesperson Lt. Jay Baker said.

Any citizen who'd like to report incidents of misconduct by deputies or commend an employee of the sheriff's office for exceptional job performance is urged to do so.

Incidents of misconduct include inappropriate language or gestures, threats, harassment, and/or illegal activity. Corrective measures include verbal counseling, written reprimands, remedial training, suspension and termination.
