Bank Donates Space To Serve as Woodstock Trolley Information Hub

A ribbon cutting was held on Tuesday to officially welcome Community and Southern Bank to downtown Woodstock.

Community and Southern Bank (CSB) is thrilled to announce its donation of $1,000 to the Woodstock Downtown Development Authority.

The bank also announced a partnership to allow the DDA to use the former ATM location on Wheeler Street as place where residents can obtain information about the city’s trolley.

“CSB constantly looks for opportunities to benefit the communities we serve,” says Mark Abernathy, president of CSB. “Donating the (space) to the city of Woodstock is one example of that commitment.”

Brian Stockton, director of Woodstock’s Office of Economic Development said the money will be used to purchase a bench to place at that location, which already serves as a stop for the trolley.

Main Street Woodstock on Tuesday held an official ribbon cutting to welcome the bank to the neighborhood.

Additionally, an open house was held on Tuesday. Residents had the chance to learn more about the CSB banking team while enjoying food, refreshments and door prizes. The first 50 people who arrive at the Open House received $5 vouchers to spend at local businesses.

CSB is proud to serve the Woodstock community with branch locations on Main Street and Chambers Street.
